Dear all,

I need to know as per NFPA22, what will be minimum storage time (hrs) will be for sizing the fire water sump volume.

Is it according to point No 7.2.9.1 mentioned in NFPA 22??

It's based on the last three chemical plants I've been in charge where Fire fighting system were designed based on NFPA XX and audited by Insurance.

What you are refering is the resplenishment of the tank after an event .Your tank must be "always" full of water in case .

Here you need to talk to the fire fighting bureau where the plant is or will be located to ensure the compliance with regulations.

No i just want to know what NFPA recommends that sump volume to be calculated on basis of how much fire duration?
