Hi,

I'm simulating amine sweetening process in Unisim. My problem is that it gives me an error message that says amine acid gas loading is out of amines package range. How can I solve this problem and also how can I view the acid gas loading of sweet gas. I haven't used Unisim before and I couldn't find how to do that.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi,

This is due to limitation of the amine property package
I have this error message before when I try to simulate Acid Gas Removal unit by using HYSYS and since Unisim is actually a copy of HYSYS therefore it is happen for the same reasons.

The range of Amine property package for acid gas loading to amine is ranging from 0.0001 to 1.2 of Mole Acid Gas/Mole Amine, if the load of acid gas in the stream is more than this, the software will give you warning with yellow color stream if in HYSYS but I'm not sure what will be the color in Unisim.

From my experience, your simulation is still ok, however the accuracy of datas (chemical & physical properties) may not be so accurate for the yellow color stream. But I have compare this with the HMB which is generated by licensor and there's no significant differences between the two stream (calculated by HYSYS compare to licensor HMB)

My suggestion for more details explanation, better to consult with Unisim support.
