Probably if the .fnw file can be converted to .xml file you may be able to open it in the older version. You will have to check this out.
Generally newer version files cannot be opened in the older version. However, older version files can definitely be opened in newer version.

Yes.
You have to use export wiz.
As said by ankur. U need to do some trial & error as i had also faced same problem.
