Hey, I'm currently doing the safety aspects of my High temperature water gas shift reactor. I'm having a problem in finding start up and shut down procedure for the water gas shift reactor.. Anyone can help me out with this?
The reactor is operating at 380 Celsius and 23.5 bar, modelled as an isothermal tubular reactor. The inlet is from the product of the reformer and the outlet is channeled to a Pressure Swing Adsorber

Bali:

As a student in Chemical Engineering and a potential future leader in a chemical processing plant, it is your duty and obligation to learn and master all the safety procedures that will confront the people you will be supervising and asking to operate the equipment you will be responsible for. Therefore, it is at this point in your student experience that you are being asked to go through the serious and detailed exercise of identifying all the potential hazards that surround your future personnel. It is your professional and moral duty to make sure that the instructions you give your people don't cause any harm or detriment to them - or those around them.

You state that you are "having a problem in finding start up and shut down procedure for the water gas shift reactor and want anyone to help you out with this" responsibility. And it is good that you recognize that this is a PROBLEM -and a very important one. That is what engineers are suppose to do: solve problems. And that is why you are being asked to sit down and think of all the answers to this problem. That is how you will train yourself to be an engineer. Start writing down everything you can identify as requirements for a safe, normal, and efficient start up, and then submit it to us here in the Forum and you will find that we will help you by spotting any mistakes you make. But I, for one, will not do your work for you. That would be cheating you out of one of the most profitable learning experiences you will ever have. It is your job, and you should be the sole author of it.

Did I mention that I would need you to give me all the information so that all I have to do is just type it out? All I'm asking for Is guidelines.. To have a head start to my safety, start up and shut down.. Which I found the first portion of your second paragraph usefull.. Thank you..
