Hi everybody,

I want to calculate radiation isopleths for a propylene flare with following design basis:

propylene max flow: 21200 kg/hr
propylene normal flow: 12000 kg/hr
temp: 55 DegC
LHV: 20115 btu/lb
flare ht: 48 m
air velocity avg: 5 m/s

this topic is very new for me so please help me for this calculation.

If you want to generate isopleth graph the only way that you can do is to use software
one software that I know can generate this is FlareSim by softbits consultant
you can goole it and try to gain more info

However if you just wanted to know the radiation on certain point, you can use calculation
that is provided in API STD 521
