Hi
i want to program liquid hold-up correlation inside aspen,
liquid hold-up correlation is used for liquid-gas contacting towers
i have the correlation of liquid hold-up, thats very simple correlation, but i dont know how to program it in aspen
please help me from where and how to start

Hi,
From your post it is not clear what exactly you are looking for. Liquid hold up terminology is generally referred to either the column bottom sump liquid inventory or at the liquid collection trays such as chimney trays. can you further elaborate further about this term, I would be in a position to give you the procedure to model it. Waiting for your reply.

In tray columns, liquid holdup is just the liquid volume on the active area
Liquid holdup, as used within RateSep or RateFrac Module, is a volumetric liquid holdup, not a fractional holdup or holdup height.
RateSep or RateFrac allows a number of different correlations to be used to calculate holdup. Each correlation applies to certain types of columns. These correlations can be specified on the RateSep | Holdup sheet of the Tray Rating or Pack Rating form.
You can specify a liquid or vapor holdup on these sheets. If you do, the data you specify is used and the correlation is ignored
The correlations calculate liquid holdup on trays as (clear liquid height x bubbling area on the tray)
it has a simple correlation, i want to replace my correlations with aspen RateSep build-in correlations
Thanks
