Dear All Friends
I need to know qatar and Saudi Arabia Experince for DSO in Merox Unit.
As you know DSO is by-product of Merox Unit.
What is existing use for DSO, is there any usefull application for it?

Most plants I have been involved with route the DSO to a naphtha hydrotreater feed drum. This needs to be controlled to a very small percentage of the NHT feed however.

DSO can be used in place of DMDS.
DSO can be blend with crude.
DSO can be blend with VGO.

I wouldn't blend DSO with crude being fed to a crude distillation unit. DSO isn't particularly stable at high temperatures and can contribute to corrosion or will increase the presence of sulfides in overhead water streams.

An alternate destination could be a Diesel Hydrotreater wherein it can be processed in admixtures with SR streams.
