I am confused with a unit conversion.
For 1Nm3 I have: 1.0571942 Sm3
1.0571428
1.0549129
Which one is correct?

tarfdar,

When you say Nm3 it is at 0°C (273.15 K) and 101.325 kPa (abs).

If you define Sm3 at standard conditions of 15°C (288.15 K) and 101.325 kPa (abs) then

1 Nm3 = 1.0549 Sm3 (288.15 / 273.15)

If you define Sm3 at standard conditions of 15.5556°C (288.706 K) also defined in english units as 60°F and 101.325 kPa (abs) then

1 Nm3 = 1.05695 Sm3 (288.706 / 273.15)

Companies like Shell define standard conditions as 15°C and 101.325 kPa (abs) for oil and gas operations everywhere in the world except North America. OPEC countries using english units follow standard conditions of 14.73 psia and 60°F. Have a look at the blog entry I had posted on standard conditions of temperature and pressure at:

Ankur.
