Hello,
Please can anyone help me to understand how to interpret some of the information on a control valve. The following information was displayed on the valve nameplate.
I have laboured to understand how to interpret these info, but I still do not understand the ones in bold.
600 WOG 101
Type 1400 No. 7133068/70
Body 4" Port 2"
Conn ANSI 600 RJ
Body A216 WCB
Stem AISI 316
P & S A-316 COLM.

Kabtik:

Why haven’t you told us the NAME of the manufacturer? It has to be on the valve body or the nameplate. That would be so much simpler!

Anyway, I interpret the following:

600 WOG 101 = 600 psi rating for Water, Oil, or Gas service
Type 1400 No. 7133068/70 = this is the Manufacturer’s model type
Conn ANSI 600 RJ = this is the ANSI flanged connection, rated at 600 psi and is Raised Face.

Minor correction:

RJ: Ring-Joint Facing; as one of flage facing types

Fallah:

You are correct. My Forum editor is giving problems, but that is not an excuse. I should have checked the spelling. Thanks.
