Dear Members.

Hello.

I want to build a direct heat exchanger. Material to be used is Mild steel hollow rectangular tube or plate (plate bending and welding). This cooler is need to be inserted inside the furnace atmosphere. In this location atmosphere temp is 1400 Degree centigrade.  Cooler width will be 400 mm, length 2000 mm, 2 pass. size of hollow box 100 x 50 mm. Water pressure will be 6 bar, continuously flow for 24 hr. This cooler will remain in hot atmosphere for 2 weeks.

I have request for plate thickness calculation of hollow box (or plate thickness) .

Thanks in advance

Our Forums are not an Engineering service that does engineering for free.

Of course, if our members want to contribute their free engineering services to you, they can do so.  But I would recommend this be done directly with you and not through our Forums.
