Hi,

I know there are many factors affecting the slug flow, but I just want to know what are the simplest ways to try for eliminating slug flow when you have it in ur pipe (e.g. in FlareNet simulations). I mean e.g. simply try to decrease the pipe size or etc? as far as I know it is mainly because of low velocities of vapor and liquid.

By providing slope to drain the liquid to KO Drum.

Hello

You  have to be careful when you see the "possible slug Flow" warning in Flarenet and not immediately start considering changes to your Flare system
Remember FNT is Steady state and assumes continuous flow at the rates you defined. It may be that Slug flow does not actually build up.

Look at the source that is causing this slug, is it a fire case or DP? something that will diminish with time ?
does teh line that has slug predicted drop into a larger line ? if so the slug could l disapear

All flare lines should slope down towards the KO drum anyway, that is normal and if you do have slugs that will not remove the problem.

Take a more detailed look at the problem and think about it !
