The Panhandle equation was developed to simulate compressible gas flow in long pipelines

 

and this is a simple excel sheet calculates the gas flow rate using this equation

Elgenedy,

 

Copying the work of somebody else and presenting it as your own is grossly unfair. Your spreadsheet is >90% of the copy of "Panhandle A & B" single phase gas pipeline flow spreadsheet prepared by Samir Khan at his website "Excel Calculations". The 10% that is not identical is that your spreadsheet provides calculation only for "Panhandle A" and not for "Panhandle B" and which you fail to mention in your spreadsheet.

 

In fact Panhandle B is the more frequently adopted flow correlation for long-distance single phase gas pipelines compared to Panahandle A. Panhandle B provides better accuracy compared to Panahandle A for large diameter / long-distance pipelines and specifically when the Reynolds number value is greater than 10 million.

i used Panhandle A and i used samir's sheet to develop my sheet and as u see my sheet is so simple with small accuracy percentage.

 

i was just trying to use excel for the first time and this was the result.
