can anyone help us how to compute the storage tank thickness for a gasoline station with the material AISI 1018... some tell uss that the thickness must be at least 0.21 in.

but the question is how will we arrive at that answer?

Which code/standard is applied to the tank construction? You are following to calculate the thickness of which part of the tank?

From Fallah's comments you should realize that there are various codes and different components of a tank are treated differently, including whether the tank is horizontal or vertical.
