We are somewhat confused regarding on the difference on process of precipitation from the process of crystallization in industrial companies. Can you please help us?

Precipitation means converting the dissolved material to suspended material. Crystallization is the same thing with a goal of having specific particle size in precipitated material.

Normally for precipitation a precipitating reagent is added. Often it is a chemical reaction. Sometimes a physical agglomeration process. The precipitate may not be necessarily crystalline but can be. 

 

Crystallization usually employs a solubility effect. By cooling or evaporating off solvent a solute is forced to come out of solution. It is usually a relatively slow process if crystal morphology / size is important.
