Hello,

Does anyone have experience in modelling hypothetical solids in Unisim and adding them to reactions??

We are working on simulating a Sorption enhanced SMR process and incorporating the equilibrium data (K vs. T) works, but does not account for partial pressures as all.  When we run a case study of feed pressure vs. outlet hydrogen mole frac (dry basis) there is no effect.

So, does anyone have particular experience with how to model reactions using solids to account for partial pressures?

An example reaction would be the Decarbonation of Calcium carbonate:

CaCO3 ---> CaO + CO2

We are trying to plot the partial pressure of CO2 vs. temperature to replicate experimental data to show that we can use Unisim to model our process.

Thanks,

Travis
