A boiler is fired with a natural gas containing only methane and nitrogen. The analysis of DFG (dry flue gas) is 8.05% CO2, 6.42% O2, and 85.53% N2.

Calculate

a) the composition of the fuel

b ) amount of excess air used in the combustion

How would you go about answering this?

Thanks!

So, thorium90, how is TSmith going to learn anything if we spoon feed him?
