I am trying to figure out the process of production of PVC.

one of the processes is VCM recovery.

i attached the process as an excel file with the components names in the feed to the BR. the reaction temp is 57 celsius, and 8 bar pressure gauge

 

there is a separator on the VCM recovery (process num. 8) according to the materials in the feed except from VCM and water i don't know what else could be in that prosess i dont understand what is the "waste gas" in this process. what is the separator suppose to separate
