Hi,

Can someone help me to determine that where Pulsation dampeners are required? I mean, Are they only used with Positive displacement pumps. Or can be used with centrifugal pumps.

I appreciate if some one can also explain how it works?

Thank you

chem101,

Centrifugal pumps don't need to be equipped with pulsation dampeners.

Among positive displacement pumps, also rotary type ones such as gear pumps don't need pulsation dampener because of the very low or almost zero pulsation flow...
