Hello ,
Furnace is designed for natural gas fuel of net calorific value ~9000 kcal / Nm3.Furnace contains several numbers of burners (say 125 ).Later on, There is arranged an recovery of low calorific fuel (~ 1200 kcal /Nm3 NCV) from the process(~10% recovery equivalent NG).It is also connected to consume as a fuel alongwith NG for Furnace to establish energy conservation.
Here, My questions are
(1) Combustion of high & low heat content fuel will run the system normal?
(2) How will it affect combustion efficiency?
(3) What will happen to flame length & intensity?
(4) Will it increase or decrease combustion air requirement for fire box?
(5) These two fuel gas have different wobbe index. How does it affect flame characteristics in actual operation?
(6) Will Secondary fuel get combusted fully in presence of NG operating at certain burner pressure?

Thanks in advance.

John Zink (Tulsa, OK) should be able to provide fast answers.
