Hi there,

I wonder why would you mix 2 complete products into some lower value mixture?

But anyways, if you need to do that you just take 2 streams and mix it under flow control. what is the problem?

Ensuring that the blend meets the requirements for LPG, ofcourse.

My customer imports butane and propane and input into the tanks after that they are mixed to LPG and input to another tanks.

I know some solution to solve it: in-line blending or tank mixing.

Please help me solve that and send me some handbook if you have

Thanks and Regards,

Please refer to my earlier reply. You can do either tank mixing or line blending. But ensure that the mixture meets the requirements (specifications) for LPG in your country. Butane has lower vapor pressure than propane and LPG has in between vapor pressure. So mix both in a proportion so that the mixture will meet the vapor pressure requirement for LPG. You may use ASTM D 2598 for blending. . Other properties like copper corrosion, total sulfur, heavier components like pentane should, however, both meet.

Usually in summer and winter you need different ratios of propane/butane. Make sure you have reviewed the regulations and your client specification.

both of mixing methods can be used but make sure you have proper tanks and relevant facilities.
