Insulation Thickness

Hello Guys,

 

 

Our client is canada wants the pipeline to be insulated using 1" thickness insulation.I wonder if that is good enough as I think 1.5" would be more resoanable.

 

Tell me from your experience what criterion must be followed checking the insulation thickness.

 

My fluid temp is 5C and air temperature would be -40C.

Refer to my answer to your previous post, perform the calculation using the excel sheet provided and you will get your answer.  It's your responsibility to provide figures, expecting you will be able to supply all the necessary data about the oil you want to transfer.
