Is it necessary to control the pH of raw wastewater in sump tank? Does this idea work?
Description:
-install a pH sensor in sump tank
-implement acid and caustic dosing in sump tank to control the pH to certain range (i also not the range).

Dear Ms Julia:
1) pH sensor is preferably installed in the reaction tank. If your influent is too acidic or too basic you can have the adjustments done in the reaction tank followed by coagulant application. The next step is the application of floccullant. The supernatant liquid is then cleaned further from the accompanying dissolved solids and neutralized to the standard pH range. Installing a pH sensor in the sump tank is for me not a wise idea.
