Dear Cheresources experts,

I am an Instrument Engineer, but quite new to the area of Project Engineering HAZOP. Having attended one session of HAZOP recently, I felt I couldn't give any inputs to the Instrument input of HAZOP session, simply because I'm lacking experience and do not know what are the specific area of concerns/questions i should point out.

Can you all kindly educate me on what are the specific areas of concern/questions/points which I should be raising during HAZOP for Instrumentation?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

VJ

Hello Vijay

Being part of HAZOP team, you have fair chance to understand process and identify risk during discussion in HAZOP. Once risk identified, You have liberty to discuss more on possible PCT(Process Chemical Technology) solution against identified risk. Bcoz after then its question of reliability of instruments and control loop, where your input is important. Its upto your HAZOP team to define sound technical/administrative measures against identified risk.

I hope I have answered your query.

Regards

san
