Dear all,
I was wondering someone could advise on this. We have an oil field processing facility that we need to commission. However, there are issues that we are facing such as the lack of enough fluid to process by the separators. see the following:
Separators, V-2303A/B/C/D
Capacity: 204,650 BFPD
Incoming wc%v: 75.5
Outgoing wc%v: 70
Retention time: 5
Operating Conditions:
1. temperature: 70-75 deg. Celsius
2. Pressure: 750-900 kPag
Now, we have only about 115,500 BFPD to process by one separator and we are wondering how this separator will respond assuming the same wc%v 75.5. We do not have aspen hysys to try and evaluate how this separator will respond.
Note:The contractor that did the simulation did not advise on the possible minimum process/liquid storage volume that is required for equilibrium to be reached for gas-liquid separation.
