Hello,

Is there any significance of "allowable over pressure" in case of rupture disc(RD)?

We, have to use "allowable over pressure" in case of PSV for calculating relieving pressure.

In RD, relieving pressure = burst pressure + back pressure.

Any recommendation is highly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Thanks both shan and Breizh,.

Then relieving pressure would be same as for PSV.

And relieving pressure = burst pressure + back pressure is a wrong perception.

But this formulae was mentioned in pleckner's post.

Would you please clarify me .

Thanks.
