Hello,

I have read through PD Hills and several other articles and have not found my answer. I am reviewing an overflow line that has already been installed. The line does not have any slope and the calculation assumes full pipe flow (manning relationships don't give required capacity) and has a horizontal bend less than 3 diameters from the entrance (K values don't apply) without being well vented. I'm concerned this bend will become a flow trap and the line won't function, is anyone familiar with resources for configurations like these?

Thank you

Troles:

Kindly submit a detailed, clear sketch - with dimensions - describing your overflow line.

That's the best way to submit your basic data on this type of query because it allows our members to fully study and respond with specific comments and recommendations.
