I moved from the topping unit to the hydrocarbon storage park and I have no idea what kind of experience I can have to enrich my skills.

I inform you that I occupy a position of exploitation of the different type of storage bin as well as the shipment of the finished products to other depots and port oil.

On what I base myself to get a good experience in this park ??

Is there any documentation on this type of work ???

Dear Robotan,

Storage Tank yard, Shipment of Finished Product in Storage Tanks are major area of Engineering business in which you may learn

following:

1) Product storage which Temperature & Pressure condition Different Type of Storage Tanks.

2) If your dispatching LPG & Cryogenic type fluid, then you may learn lot of things like how to handle. Read SOP / Operating Instructions carefully & try to understand each & everything?

3) Tank Capacity calculation & design -for e.g. Tank Nozzle sizes , Vent / Overflow Nozzles, Safety Valve Inlet Sizes etc.

4) if there are Loading arms for Tank filling - How to decide Number of Loading arms & their sizes.

See, there are much things to learn from everything in the world! Only you have to think & apply your engineering basics!

Thanks.
