Hello,

We are currently looking for different suppliers of activated carbon for cost optimization purposes only. Currently, We are NOT facing any operational problems (i.e foaming..etc) in the acid gas removal units. I would like to know the important specification of the activated carbon that shall be looked into to decide the most viable option technically and economically.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

CheAmine,

Some important parameters to select  Activated Carbon for Amine filtration are Phosphorus content, Iodine number and molasses number. Please refer to  the book " Gas Purification" by Arthur L Kohl/Richard Nielsen  for further reading. Thanks

Hi ,

About AC you need to know what to do with spent AC .In China these days it's becoming very complicated to dispose this material and expensive too . You probably need to select a vendor able to offer a regeneration capability either in house or at their place .

Company like Calgon is offering this type of service.

My view
