Hi, this is my first post. I hope I'm not breaking any rules here, but I would like to ask if anyone knows if there is a paper or bibliography that talks about how to select the proper operating pressures for the reboiler and condenser in the amine regenerator of an MDEA plant treating H2S and CO2 in natural gas. I've been searching and couldn't really find any useful info. Thanks for your advice and bibliography. This is for a school project.

Pressure should be as low as possible as MDEA is known degradeable at overheating. Threshold temperature depends on source of info as no comprehensive industry tests have been conducted.

Actual pressure in condenser depends on a final point of a system where the sour gas is sent to. Actual pressure of reboiler depends on design of condenser and regenerator.

As per my experience with sour gas the recovery design governs.

You can study an extract from my archive, I recommend to start with ABPG's publications
