Hello to Everyone,

We  are facing a problem of low plant load in our Ammonia plant due to high CO2 slip after switching our CO2 removal process from GV to aMDEA.

All kind of suggestion from Industial proffessionals are invited. Or any similar kind of problem in any other ammonia plants. Please discuss.

You should talk to your aMDEA supplier. What is GV?

Hi Shankar,

Please send me your DCS graphics, lab analysis of the solution and PFD, I can look into it and give you some feedback.

Bobby,

GV is Giammarco Vetrocoke from Italy; they do have a process for CO2 removal using double activator.

Kind regards,

Satyajit

Hi Shankar,

Please share lean loading and rich loading of aMDEA solutions and gas pressure and temperature in absorber column.

I read your problem and I think you have to communicate with your aMDEA supplier.
