We are implementing a purge gas system for an existing flare header. Has anyone used oxygen analyzers upstream of the gas seal at the flare stack instead of pressure transmitters to activate supplemental purge for special events (rainstorm, etc). Also, if you have had experience with the above, what challenges did you face putting this in service with an existing flare header. We plan to put the purge gas system in service while the flare is operational, after we've completed a "sweep".
