In FCCU unit there is an interlock for low Reactor outlet temperature (ROT). Feed will get out from riser when ROT decrease from a certain specified low ROT. What could be the reason for this?

I read in one material it is written that "Low ROT will lead to Coke formation on the reactor internals". Why low ROT will lead Coke formation?
