Hi guys,

hope everything is ok over there. I have a question relevant to hydrothermal synthesis.

Our reactor, at 35 barg, is producing a white liquor made of an amorfing structure between H2O, Zeolite, TiO2, SiO2. this product is basically solid and we have difficulties in discharging it from the two bottom ON-OFF ball valves which are getting stuck several times.

we are looking for a different kind of valves which fit for this purpose.

At the beginning I've proposed 3-way piston valves which are mostly used on slurry reactors technology but probably a different solution is already applied and proved.

Can you support me in any manner? Couple of picture for you are attached.

Might (slide) gate valve or pinch valve be possible?

If the pressure wasn't so high, I might have suggested rotary valve.

Good idea Thorium,

It depends on the material resistance.

Kevlar and mechanic operated  probably  is a good solution.

Anyhow, I need more ideas to assess.

mmm
