  In our plant atmosphere pressure fractionator having packed, in that column every inlet like reflux and pump around having the filter at the entry. i just want to know the purpose of the filter at the inlet and how it will affect our fractionator performance.

 

 

 in that column we used IMTP packing

Filters are used to protect certain types of liquid distributors from plugging.

Probably inside your column there are spray distributors.
