Hello,

Does somebody has any experience trouble shooting vacuum pumps. I am using a Pfeiffer Turbo pump TPH 330 along with the Pfeiffer controller TCP 300. Recently I have been having this problem of the pump not speeding up to its full speed. It doesn’t go beyond 30 % of its full speed. I checked all my connections to check if there was any leak but couldn’t find any. Also, I am pretty sure that there is nothing wrong with the backing pump as I connected it to the vacuum chamber and it was successful in evacuating the chamber upto the ultimate pressure of the pump. Now I don’t know if there is something wrong with the Turbo pump or the Controller. I checked the manuals but there is no section on trouble shooting. I would appreciate if anyone can assist me in trouble shooting this problem.

Thank you,

Nirav
