In our plant after maintenance and cleaning , the lower trays in MDEA contactor clogged and makes increasing pressure differential in tower and reducing inlet feed.what can we do to reduce this problem?

 

Inlet gas temperature= 25 C

Contactor  pressure= 67 barg

Amine inlet temp= 40-43 C

Amine rate= 145 M3/hr

In general: if solids are deposited inside equipment, causing plugging or corrosion or other problems, take samples and have them analyzed.

How do you know they are "clogged"? And your opening sentence could mean anything. Did you clean the absorber?
