My online translator gives me this:
Good afternoon community.
Anyone know if a horizontal tank can be designed to store 600 m3 diesel, I have found that up to 90 m3 can be designed, but I have not found literature for a 600 m3 design.
Could you support me to indicate what standard is used and where you can get the design of this tank.
Regards...
A diesel storage unit that size would normally be an internal floating roof tank erected on site. Are you needing underground storage?
In my opinion, a single horizontal tank could be designed to store 600 m3 diesel, but I doubt it would be practical.
The standard would be 'economics' and 'transportation'.
Horizontal storage tanks are typically built in a shop and transported to site.
A 600 m3 horizontal storage vessel would be too big to build in the shop and transport economically when compared to the alternatives.
(There are much larger horizontal diesel storage vessels in regular use. They float on water and are called oil tankers!)
