I am not familiar with Hysys horizontal vessel sizing. The statement of the problem suggests that the user sets a maximum allowable vapor velocity. Is this for a two-phase separator? There are two directions for vapor flow in a usual two-phase separator. Are you setting the maximum horizontal velocity? What is the basis for this input? The tech support for the software provider would be the best place to get the answer you seek. The example you provided contained no data to evaluate your input or results.
