we have 2 lube oil filters installed in lube oil circuit. We replace these filters based on its DP value or during inspection. After replacement air is removed from filter housing by opening blind plug which is mounted on top of filter housing as shown in attached drawing. To remove air first plug is loosen up to 2 to 3 threads and ac lube oil pump is started. Then air is allowed to remove from loosen end and re-tight is done as soon as continuous oil without air bubble comes out from plug.

During this activity pressurized oil also comes out along with air bubble. This way it is unsafe for person working.

Can be provide vent on top of filter as per attached drawing?

Hi ,

Thanks to supply the drawing for better understanding .

Do you have isolation valves both side of the lube oil filters ?

Your vent should be equipped with a valve and a plug  !

What is written in the maintenance booklet for filter replacement ?

My view
