Dear all,

I need to simulate a special heat exchanger. It is the reboiler of a C3 splitter column. Our vendor proposed a heat exchanger with high flux tubes. I have been studying about these tubes and I think that the overall heat transfer coefficient of this exchanger should be higher than a exchanger with plain tubes.

Is it possible to simulate a heat exchanger with high flux tubes using HTRI or Aspen EDR?

I would appreciate your suggestions.

You can choose 'UOP High Flux' tubing in HTRI. You do not see this option available until you install the UOP High Flux tube DLL. Contact UOP.
