Hi all,

I am attemping to design an absorption column for a CO2 removal system with a potassium carbonate solvent (30% wt K2CO3, 70% wt H20).

Firstly, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a desired rich loading?

Secondly, what are the steps I should follow in order to find the solvent flowrate entering the column?

Flue Gas:

21.3 kmol/s

mol %

H20 = 7

N2 = 75

O2 = 5

CO2 = 13

Assume 95% removal of CO2.

Any help/tips would be extremely appreciated.

Regards
