Hi, I am simulating different cases of hydrate formation (in natural gas streams) including SI and SII structures with the CPA Electrolyte model available in Prode Properties, I am not including SH structures as these are not common, according several papers,  do you have examples of  of  H (sH) formation in natural gas streams ?

Thanks.

it depends from composition, if your streams include  (relatively) heavy hydrocarbons such as nexohexane, cycloheptane etc. these can originate SH structures, however, as general rule, I can agree that it is not common to include these structures....

Alpe,

you can find data in books as Clathrate Hydrates of Natural Gases by Sloan,

many papers have been published on the subject , I have this

Structure H hydrate phase equilibria of paraffins, naphthenes, and olefins with methane by Mehta & Sloan

but many others available... are you looking for measured data
or wish to receive comments about inclusion of H structures in multiphase equilibria flash operation in Prode Properties ?

thanks PaoloPemi and Marchem,

I am interested to know if it's a common practice to test for formation of H structures (in addition to I, II)
