Hi,

I have an Aluminum DI tank that sprung a very slow leak following an inspection and cleaning.

The leak is from the base of the tank, along a construction seam in the floor.

This leak has in time removed a significant amount support sand from under the tank.  The sand removal has foiled tank repairs due to overflexing of the base bottom upon return to service.

Does anyone have a suggestion for best practice to replace tank support sand in-situ.

One suggestion is to pressurize grout into the void.

The tank is available for outage for two weeks twice per year, so there is plenty of time to address the issue.

There are several associated concerns here, but I'd like to stick to the support sand aspect.

Thanks for your consideration.
