Dear all,
Can a malfunctioning check valve installed on a centrifugal compressor somehow restrict the flow and overload the compressor? if yes, how and in what way it could do that?
regards.

Hi,
Check valve is a mechanical device and can fail. One can rely on the check valve only if it is Class 1 i.e. periodically maintained.
Failure of check valve can lead to blocked outlet, the same as control valve failure or inadvertent manual valve closure.
