Hi all,

Is there any calculation available to find the tank volume?

Data i know, Tank inlet and outlet flow rate 80m3/hr and 30m3/hr respectively. Water treatment Plant total capacity is 600m3/day. how to find the tank size?

Hi,

Please also specify the inlet/outlet flow rate on daily basis...

Have to supply 550m3/day of water (Outlet flow rate) constantly from the treatment plant.

Hi,

Based on 80 m3/hr as input rate you should have around 7 hr/day production (550/80) while there should be a consumption rate equal to around 18 hr/day (550/30); hence in worst case supposing within 7 hr production per day there would be no consumption (the consumption as out flow happens totally in remain hrs of a day i.e. around 16-17 hrs) the working volume of the tank should be 550 m3...
