Hi, I am currently a student and have no industrial experience but I have a project that requires me to design a flash column. I tried searching for literature papers or textbook for reference for the vessel internals but I could not find any. In addition, is there any guidelines in designing the nozzles (inlet, outlets etc. ) and manhole for flash column? I am thrown with no details except for nozzle's elevation height and outer diameter. How do I calculate the neck length and nozzle's thickness? Are there any papers or references in mechanical drawing of a flash drum?
