i'm currently studying the feasibility of establishing a plant for L-lysine HCl production in the philippines. i'm dong this with ther 3 ChE students in UP diliman, Phillippines. we gathered enough data for what we need now since this project runs for a year. however, we have many contrasting data about the current market price of L-lysine HCl (feed grade) in the phillipines. we are also facing problems what price to follow in terms of raw materials (fermentation chemicals: nutrients and nitrogen sources).

I want to know, in industry, where do the local manufacturer actually buy their reagents?? what is the basis of prices? is it in the import/export data, calling ads in yellow pages, or from the internet? i'm confused... pls help.

one more thing, where can i get data about the importer/exporter of chemicals in the philippines. i asked once from NSO, they said i have to buy it because what they provide for free is just the qty of import/export. is this so? do i have other options?
