Hello Everybody

 

I am writing to ask how can I estimate the piston rod diameter, for spcifying a reciprocating compressor. 

 

I have cheked out Reciprocating Compressors book by Bloch and Hoefner. In this book there is a table that contains values of rod sizes according to the BHP. I would like to know if there is a more complete table with more data or a catalogue from a compressor industry.

You can get free software from Ariel. It has dimensional information. And will rate the compressor for your gas. It includes thermo that will also handle interstage cooling.
