i have a gas expanding thru a control valve ...
upstream pressure is 400 psig and downstream is 50 psig
upstream temp is 80 F and downstream is 50 F
At upstream pressure hysys show hydrate formatiion at 56 F
at downstram pressure hysys show hydrate formation at 35 F
What should be considered ...will hydrate form? since downstream temp. 50 F > 35 F so no formation?
which pressure should be considere for analysis?

Hydrate formation tendency is affected by pressure, temperature, and composition. Consider the stream composition at its conditions: upstream pressure at the upstream temperature and the downstream pressure at the downstream temperature.

given composition, hydrate formation temperature depends from pressure as said by Pilesar,
