Hello,

I'm trying to stimulate an Ethyl Acetate Air Stripper in Aspen Plus V11, using RadFrac model (PACKABS).

I wanted to air strip the Ethyl Acetate in Feed stream, but the Top/Bottom Temperature can't be corresponding to the Actual Temperature.

When using RadFrac without condenser and reboiler, the Bottom Temperature will be lower then the inlet air temperature. (< 25)

When using RadFrac with reboiler only, the Bottom Temperature will be much higher (>58 ) than the actual temperature in real situation.

Is there any ways to adjust the temperature to match the real situation? Thanks so much for the responses!

Ps: Pls see my process and components in the attached files.

Hi ,

Try to simulate with a smaller quantity of EA , let say half of the quantity .

Using a simple calculator with 2 components (water +EA)  using Henry's law ,  I got a warning saying that the liquid is oversaturated , meaning part of EA will go to the bottom with liquid due to bubbles formation .

I don't have simulator to support .

What about the thermodynamic  package , do you use the right one ?

note : If you have access to youtube channel , you will find examples where Radfrac is used .

Hope this is helpful .
